I would agree the defending is a beautiful art form but I would say very few would "enjoy" watching defending in anywhere near the same way as attacking football. Appreciate it? Yes. Enjoy it? That's hard to say.

How bizarre. I am as close to blindly optimistic as they come. I can't STAND moaning in the crowd and was one of very few absolutely championing Poyet's style of ball retention along the back line.
All I've stated is we had no shots on goal for an hour. If I've got that stat incorrect then...
We do differ. I mean shots that would have gone in.
Don't get me wrong, I'm DELIGHTED with the win. But to convince outselves we were productive up top is, as TCB says, being blinded by the result (which is, ofcourse, the most importnat aspect at the end of the day).

Of course people view it differently. Perhaps I've used the phrase "poor performance" too broadly when I would porobably change it to "didn't play very well". The defence, of course, performed brilliantly but our actual FOOTBALL, ie passing, controlling...
Let's be COMPLETELY honest here.
We didn't have shot on goal for the first hour. We were panicking in the final 3rd and Leo was isolated.
However was I ever even ROMTELY concerned QPR would score? No. Completely solid at the back.
In the end patience told and the first piece of REAL quality...
