Totally agree with you, but honestly, how much would it cost for the club to eat humble pie and aks the Police how they did it so well?
As for the eastbound, yes, agree 100%, but again, the solution cannot be that expensive. A few judiciously placed road signs which can be flipped on match days...
I think the point is, that on that one occassion when professionals dealt with the vehicle egress from the stadium, everyone got home in a timely fashion. Bus & Coach users were not subject to any delays and all got out of the car park in the same sort of time they do normally. BF users were...
Couldn't agree more. When the police did the car park for the Liverpool game I (we) thought, here we go, at last it'll be sorted, just look what a great job they did of it, now all the club has to do is learn and adapt, and we'll all be happy. But they didn't, they took no notice whatsoever from...
When the Police opperated the car park after the Liverpool cup game we were all out nice and promptly, with no hold ups for the bus and coach travellers either. The difference, the police knew what they were doing, they have prior experience, they have done it before. Shame our transport 'team'...
If it were only 20 minutes, or even 45 minutes, there wouldn't be much of an issue. I have waited in my car for over 90 minutes at the end of a game to get out previously, 80 minutes of which were spent stationay. In our experience 60 minutes is about the norm if you leave your seat after the...
This isn't an option now, if you did have an emergency now, you simply cannot get out. Once the gridlock has started, that's it, no escape until the cars in front of you are let out, there is no-where to pull over to let other cars come through.
Most are fans, and as fans we are a) used to the carnage in BF, or b) more often that not will wait an hour or so after a game to leave or c) don't use BF any more.
Those on a jolly won't notice anything different at the Amex compared to any other ground they may have had a jolly at, apart...
Not disputing it, try getting hospitality at West Ham, using the corporate car park, worse than 45 minutes. It's the same at most other clubs, it's not unusual, and tbf most people on a corporate jolly are unlikely to be looking to leave straight after anyway.
1901 members get parking included in their package that hasn't changed. For corporate clients, the cost for a match and meal at the Amex is probably cheaper than 90% of the other clubs in this division, and cheaper than most Premier League clubs also.
Not strictly true, in fact not true at all. For the Liverpool League cup game the Police opperated the BF car park exits, and we were most definately out sooner than 45 minutes. Likewise, we often used to arrive very early, and park right by the exit, we were never held back. I'm not sure what...
