So, to recap:
1 - Newport: doesn't count because we lost (and it's the league cup)
2 - Blackburn: penalty, doesn't count
3 - Blackburn: I'm assuming this one doesn't count because it was easier than his first v leicester (Crofts shot was spilled by the keeper and Barnes tapped in the follow up)...

lots of opinions, first few at least were not entirely complimentary.
Upson...
Oh he is. I just couldn't tell if prince monolulu was making some other point (I.e. Whether he too was being sarcastic, or if he was challenging the idea that people are ridiculously critical of Barnes) that was going over my head.
According to stats, an assist is the last team mate to play the ball to the player who scores. Someone who wants to hate one of their teams players will cling to this as the only way that player can receive credit.
I thought I would add to the only credited assist (v Forest) with other moments...
He got an assist v Forest. His overhead kick was met by Lita on saturday.
He was also the person pressuring Spearing and jumping in front to cause the distraction that led to the first goal v Bolton.
He played the ball through for calderon to provide the assist to give us the lead v derby.
Just been back and checked Andy Naylor's time line. I confused Forest enquiring for Bridcutt on the back of Palace's bid with one of burnley's three bids for Barnes.
For this season only:
Shooting stats from ESPNSoccernet (I believe they use the AP as their source) and usually a goal isn't included as a shot (i.e. yesterday lita and JFC scored, but had no shots and none on target).
But Championship sides hadn't put in bids for Dicker in the previous window. They hadn't seen other clubs put in bids for Dicker and so approach the club to check on his availability as they have with Barnes.
