I think this is right. But I don't think he would necessarily need to seek out gay Brighton fans. From what I hear some of the truly vile occasions have not fallen in the more sanitised, banter like, chants that most Albion fans brush off inside the ground. I heard about some dreadful things...

I think it's the assumption that Brighton has more gay fans than other clubs. This is highly unlikely. Most of the gay population (believed to be as much as 92% of it) come from outside the area. If they follow football it would be likely that they are supporters of other clubs.
