Gustavo Poyet has written and printed up his contract and is traveling to Sunderland to wake Short up at 6.30am for his signature. Poyet is planning to announce himself as the new coach at 06.31 tomorrow morning :lolol:
The choice Gus had was to have offered his resignation or left by mutual consent when he was suspended or before he was fired, and departed with dignity with his head held high, and he would not have been fired with gross misconducts, which are now a media curiosity.
If it is going to happen they had best do it at the start of the inernational break, at the latest by this Wednesday. Now is the perfect time and it would not make any sense to bring him in just a few days before they play Swansea.
I reckon if anything Sunderland are using Gus as a red herring...
