The sound quality itself is great but the level (or whatever the phrase is - I'm no sound engineer) is lower than all of the other 20-30 podcasts I listen to.
If I'm at home, whether playing through my phone or from my MacBook or whatever it's fine. If I'm out with earphones and there are no...
It's still really quiet chaps.
I was out for a walk the other day but the Brian Owen show was drowned out by traffic, even though my phone was on max volume. I gave up and listened to something else (and this reminds me I still need to listen to the show).
About 25% for Albion. Details here: http://www.northstandchat.com/content.php?584-The-NSC-review-of-the-Albion-finances-(goes-on-a-bit-sorry)
I suspect the number becomes massively inflated/bloated by all the clubs receiving parachute payments which will be counted as "Sky money".
Three things...
1. Whatever jiggery pokery I did on my phone the week before last seemed to work - the podcast is now arriving on my iPhone once again!
2. Al asked about feedback on audio quality. The quality is fine, but the volume level is lower than any other podcast I listen to. As a...
This thread prompted me to listen to The Roar for the first time in a year or more. Not because I don't like it - I've always enjoyed it a lot - but it just seems to refuse to appear on my iPhone like all other podcasts.
And,if you're as lazy as I am, that's a significant barrier.
Is it only...
Ah - thanks - I'm playing podcast catch-up and have just gone onto the Albion Roar but notice there was no 5th April show on my iPhone.
Beyond that, it's very amusing to listen to the 22/3 and 29/3 shows back to back...
22/3: We're good, the squad is good, the squad is happy, everything is...
Either rent the equipment, as suggested, or buy is used on eBay. The latter will mean that if it doesn't work out then you can sell it on again and not have lost too much for the experiment.
I'd have thought the 1 hour show / 1 hour Q&A thing would work well and, in reality, wouldn't be much...
£150 per month for a number of months, so £1000 or so in total - http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?289314-Contributions-to-The-Albion-Roar.
I've no idea on what other funding from Superphil et al amounts to.
I think the draw of an Albion 'hero' would encourage a fair few. It would also be a bit of a social occasion - once the show is done, people will hang around for a beer and a chat.
Also, if the guest was an Albion hero, then once your one hour recording is done and the microphone is off, you...
How about this...
You sometimes record the show ahead of time and then broadcast the recording in your usual slot so, presumably, you could do the same for a show with an audience.
I imagine if you found a pub with a reasonable sized room, they'd let you have the room for free as you'd be...
iTunes is the music/podcast/app etc library management software for Macs and PCs. I imagine you can easily sync up your Android phone with it, but I've never done it.
My iPhone never goes near iTunes - I use Apple's own built-in podcast app which downloads episodes for podcasts I subscribe to...
