Absolute rubbish. If you want to be cynical then you could point to past failures in Iraq as reason for various politicians being wary this time round.
Or ask the question - where are the votes for having our troops returning in bodybags from a botched illegal war in Iraq or an unwinnable war...
I tend to agree with this. We can't act all imperialist or as the world's police every single time something happens that we don't like. You'd think we'd have learnt this after the disaster of Iraq. And the Americans NEVER seem to learn - Vietnam was 50 years ago now and they're still at it...
It is precisely because Labour got it so badly wrong with Iraq that they won't blindly support an attack this time. And to be honest, if the Tories had been the ones hoodwinked into supporting the US in Iraq and were in opposition now, I'd expect them to do much the same thing.
