Fair play. Our viewpoints are probably not as different as you may think. I think a few went far too OTT over his initial few games where I think he struggled, but he is looking very, very good now.
I think they give totally different things to a side, so aren't really comparable, in the same way Greer and Bridge aren't really comparable.
I don't know what you mean by disingenuous, seeing as many seem to share the same viewpoint as me.
I think many people went WAAAAYYY OTT in their...
Again - this is like saying Wayne Bridge is just as good a player as Leo Ulloa. Means nothing, because they are entirely different players, with entirely different attributes, who perform entirely different roles for the team.
This. If Bridcutt and Ince were fully fit and in form, I would hope we could then have more creative attacking players ahead of them. Crofts has been superb over the last couple of months when we've needed that engine in the midfield, but with Bridcutt and Ince he may be surplus to requirements...
In Ince's first few games, he would rush passes, often overhitting them or playing them behind the player they were aimed for. Often under no pressure at all, when he had time to take a few touches and move forward with the ball (see: vs. Bolton when it hit the ref). That's the sort of thing a...
Re: Raw, I wasn't there on Saturday so can't comment but in previous weeks he has at times looked raw - as in, misplacing/rushing passes, lack of composure at times, making baffling decisions. He definitely looks like a young player. Still a VERY good prospect who could well go on to be a...
Well he already has played a fair bit this season. I just don't think he's as consistently good as Andrews or Crofts yet, and thus shouldn't start if those 2 are available.
Don't get me wrong - he looks a good prospect - but people have gone WAY OTT in terms of how good he has actually been.
He's not been the best - come on, that's going a bit far. He's still quite sloppy, gives the ball away and rushes/overhits passes, understandably due to him being very nervous. Considering his age he's been very good, but he's not first team just yet.
I think because he is a young prospect -...
Ince has been good so far, but not quite the Claude Makelele a lot of people are making him out to be. He's still very green - making numerous mistakes even in the games where he plays well.
He'll get his chance.
