Who benefits from the significant drop in quality in 1901 and the eye watering price hike? This defies my logic and I cannot see who gains from this. In fact the only theory I can infer is that Barber feels he can jack up the prices, cut the quality and we will still queue up to consume.
I have previously mentioned that the sacking of Azure now seems more profit than quality driven which says a lot about his thinking and modus operandi. I would not put it past him to think he can make more profit flogging cheaper booze and pies to us. Just a hunch, nothing more, and I hope I am...
Okay; I see what you mean i.e. these 3 specific items have not actually increased in price this year so technically they're untouched by him at present. But, many other items have increased which clearly is his doing.
As an aside I now genuinely worry for the future of Harveys and Piglets at...
But as CEO surely this rests with him? I know he has to present certain items to the board for approval but ultimately it his thinking and plans which the board merely back? He has said this himself in those interviews with Walt.
How did the £14 pasta compare with the infamous £25 burger and chips? I wasn't there on Saturday but want to know if I have missed out on a historic moment or whether the Liverpool menu is still the lowest point in football catering.
PS the menu I got sent mentioned a Spanish buffet.
Well put. 3 years ago we were doing something a bit different, and personally I liked that, and the supporters hoovered it up in record amounts. The times are a changing.
I presumed Barber got rid of Azure because their service was pants and their quality was low. This new lot seem to be plumbing knew depths on both fronts so maybe the change was more financially motivated?
