Agree with this. Barber's approach does seem very focussed on the short term and squeezing the fan base whilst were doing well. Success will not happen every season and I worry for the seasons when we struggle.
Be interesting to see how it all pans out. I am starting to wonder if all of these sudden and severe price hikes etc will drive custom away. It will be ironic if Barber loses us more money.
And if the cash-back is diffucult for the club to write coherent emails about , and we cannot figure it out, god knows what the poor untrained Sodexo staff are going to do.
I thought Barber was brought in to run the club more professionally. Communications is utter pants on his watch. Mind you, what was once straight forward ie travel and cash back, now seems so bloody complicated its no wonder messages get muddled.
Barber seems OBSESSED with multiple layers and levels. Different levels of club membership, different levels of smartcard discount. I predict it will end in tiers.
I gave up using my smart card some time ago. Too many **** ups make me feel uncomfortable using it. I simply don't trust them to put the right amount through and if they do make a mistake you're stuck for 10-15 mins whilst they work out how to resolve it.
