I agree with most of this. But whether you expect to get free travel or not is irrelevant; the club charter states you do (well, did) for cup games and some supporters may well have budgeted for this. To change the terms of the sale after the event is just plain wrong.
After you have sold tickets based on it as well. A clear case of false advertising I'd say. There does seem to be a lot of advertising **** ups on Barber's watch.
This could get messy. Informing punters after they have purchased tickets is very sneaky (or maybe even illegal) given that their own charter and website stated travel was included.
Things have changed my friend. I have purchased tickets for a variety of things which have included travel to and from the destination over the recent years. It's best to check of course; which if you currently still do on the club website you will be told that travel is included in match tickets.
If you look at the club website in the travel section it clearly states travel is included with your match ticket. They could be in a bit of bother if they now retrospectively change this for specific matches.
I just think its a bit short sighted. Good will is quite a valuable commodity and this sort of thing chips away at it. It also puts even more hurdles in the way of new customers and future supporters as well regular punters. If I was Barber I'd be doing all I can to get people in the ground; not...
