Yes, I'm a parent and if my son had a sexual relationship with one of his teachers I would think I've failed completely as a father. Threats of physical violence are exactly the sort of the thing that would drive a child into the arms (and bed) of a seemingly more caring adult.

After reading quite alot of opinions on twitter it seems women have a vastly different view of this to men (on the whole) I haven't read one woman call him a paedo or that they hope he gets a slap.

Seven years would be a complete joke of a sentence when you compare the 15 months Stuart Hall got for much more predatory crimes. What about if the case was a 15 year old boy having an affair with a 28 year old woman teacher You think she should get 7 years too?

Yes, this is true. I don't think the guy needs punishing as such though. I doubt very much he's a danger to anyone, so the only reason to do it is as a deterrent to others. I think Stuart Hall's crimes were far more serious.

Also interested to see what sentence he gets. I feel Stuart Halls crimes were far more serious and he got only 15 months. I suspect Forrest will get far longer.

He's absolutely not a paedophile. But what he did was wrong - a complete betrayal of trust. I do have quite a lot of sympathy for him - he's obviously a fcked up dude. But he's got to serve his porridge to discourage other teachers doing the same thing. Interested to see if they are together...
