    You're right of course. Fading memories and all that. It was during the close season that the Albion put forward plans to develop the Goldstone with a capacity of 28,000. These plans were available for public viewing at Hove town hall. All in the past now eh!

    The highest average attendance was 1977/78 season at 25,500+/-. There were some massive crowds then with 30,000+ for the visits of Southampton, Spurs, Charlton and Blackpool. Equally, there were some of less than 20,000. Different era as it was turn up and pay at the gate with the odd exception...
