All the tickets we sent back will be for Forest fans , they will be vigilant not to sell a ticket to anyone who isn't a Forest fan in Z1 block. Elsewhere in the ground will be a better option.
One possibility is the additional 1,000 tickets were sent on a sale or return basis instead of the club having to pay upfront for the extra tickets. Forest may have set a time deadline to know how many would be travelling in order to organise selling the adjacent blocks in the lower tier. I...
The club will be sending up duplicates for those who have not received their tickets in the post so why can't they sell you a ticket over the phone so you can pick it up on the day from the Forest ticket office at the ground ?
I would guess 250 or so of the additional 1,000 were already pre-sold on Thursday and Friday but the club were waiting for the tickets to physically arrive.
They can give 10% of the capacity or 2,000 whichever is the lower figure as per Football League rules if they wished. The first post in this thread turned out to be misinformation.
But one of your paces is two paces for anyone else who is normal height. 15 minutes brisk walk or 20 minutes at a leisurely pace , after the game it takes 10 minutes to get onto the main road because of the crowds.
The 2,000 tickets meets the FL rules on away allocations. As it is a bank holiday weekend they could be saving money on the policing bill to offset selling another 1,500 away tickets.
