Lol, I suppose it's a fair thing. It is IN the north after all. :thumbup: Can I place a vote for Shrewsbury? Not strictly a city but unrivalled imo for the sheer quantity of Tudor buildings. Thrashes Chester although that is similar in some ways. Lovely town and great walk by the Severn.

Can't advise on the nightlife as I'm far far too old but if a curry is in order you could do worse than head to the curry mile in Rusholme!
