We certainly won't be making a loss on him , we'll recoup the transfer fee and wages as a condition of the loan to buy deal otherwise we wouldn't have let him go in the first place.
No relegation worries for Palace this season because they've surprised all the neutrals and experts by punching well above their weight but you've still got ample time to f*** it up and miss the play-offs with 16 games to go
If he starts to play well and that's a big if , we're putting him in the shop window for other clubs to look at because he is still officially our player.
He'll lose interest again once he has put pen to paper on a contract extension. Palace will be happy because they will be able to sell him for a fee if a club becomes interested.
Pity he cannot play on March 17th and hear us sing "He plays for the scum , he plays for the scum , he's Stephen Dobbie , he plays for the scum" although on the day we could substitute his name for Glenn Murray.
Does that mean he can play for The Albion in the semi finals as his loan period has finished but there is an agreement he won't play in the final as it could be against Palace ?
There appears to be two types of emergency loan , one for a maximum of 93 days and another to get around FIFA guidelines on players only being allowed to be registered with two clubs in any one season. As Doughboy started the season as a Swansea player then came to us the only way around him...
