I do see your point re the hospital giving out info, without having strict rules re this sort of thing. However, once strict rules are applied....they are applied to everyone....not just the Royal family. I,m sure that most of us have at times, needed to telephone the hospitals enquiring...

I see the radio station concerned allege they made "at least five attempts" to obtain the nurses permission to broadcast the telephone hoax. Clearly they failed....yet still went ahead with it.

And that is 'bollox' too. The minimum we could have expected was the world media acting like a pack of wolves trying to find out the names of who gave out the information...who took the first phonecall.....and then splashing it across their Sunday rags. I dont think there are many...

Whatever prank people pull.....you have to consider the potential consequences. The very least this 'prank' was going to do, was hold up the victims for public ridicule throughout the world. Now I dont agree that a so-called 'prank' is worth doing that to people. Sad that two children...

Everything we do in life has a consequence. Did these people really believe there would be no consequences....? I doubt many thought one of the victims would commit suicide......but only a complete idiot would think there would be no consequences......the very least would have been...

Absolutely agree. Did they really think that if (as they did) they succeeded in their 'prank' that the hospital management would just say to the duped staff....."Hey, that was a jolly jape wasn't it..?"
