Why doe sthe buck have to stop with anyone. It's an unfortunate series of events. It's endemic of these times that the media in all forms has to cry "Someone is to blame, someone MUST PAY!!!!". No, it's tragic, it's unfunny.
It's not being politically correct, it's called having some empathy and a bit of f***ing tact. You don't know why she killed herself, if indeed that's what took place anymore than anyone else yet you feel it appropriate to label the woman selfish. Unbelievable.
What a daft post, as for th bit I've highlighted, whether or not it defeats the purpose or not they ARE LEGALLY OBLIGED TO INFORM THE RECIPIENT THAT THEY ARE BEING RECORDED AND THEY ARE LEGALLY OBLIGED TO SEEK PERMISSION TO BROADCAST THE CALL. Stupid or not, it's not their decision to make.
It was pointed out to me today that the two DJ's making the call had a legal obligation to inform both recipients that the call was being recorded and a legal obligation to obtain their permission to broadcast it. So at the very least they should be getting done for that.
The only prank I really enjoyed from a radio station is that famous one where they rumble that girl who had been cheating on her boyfriend, I'm not keen on public humiliation but she got what was coming to her. A nurse at the end of an all night shift is not fair game in my opinion.
The nurse is a fool of course what she should have said is, "Kate? She's dead. But don't worry we have replaced her with a spong headed lizard creature from Blargon 5, now f*** off you Aussie prick, I've got important work to do".
Personally, I wouldn't accord blame to any nurse within reason. My view would be, if they are keeping the patient safe and healthy as they can and treating the relatives and patient with respect that should be the only criteria they are judged on, certainly not whether or not they can tell if...
Admittedly not a great impression! I can't imagine the queen would have bothered to call considering she didn't seem to skip a beat when Diana ploughed into a concrete pillar at 120 mph.
I agree that it's harmless in theory. Clearly it caused some distress but I don't believe it was done with any malice. I'd probably have fallen for it but then, I'm thick as shit in a milk bottle.
Having said that I do find it odd that anyone would think the queen herself would ring, I would...
I don't really get where the funny part of it comes in. They got a nurse to answer some questions about a patient. Having said that Australian humour is somewhat base if Paul Hogan and that show that Eric Bana was in are anything to go by. Although Jim Jeffries I rate.
if you're put on the spot like that and the call has come through to you and you believe you are talking to the Queen of England then why would she not answer her questions? She is dealing with the care of a memmer of the royal Family, it probably quite reasonably never corssed her mind that...
I do feel I have been a bit harsh on him really I just don't think it's on to label people murderers and paedophiles, if you accused a normal person of that it would be bang out of order and I don't see the difference with the Royals etc. I think it's a bit insulting also to claim a lady who was...
I very much doubt that this was the only factor in that poor lady's life that caused her to end it. All The Truth's jokey posts about the royals aside none of us know why she did it.
