Blimey, The Star was sold about 7 years ago now I think ! Shakespeare's Head had to close as the lease on the entire building was up and it's all being turned into a hotel. London Road does indeed seem the perfect Wetherspoons location. I'd agree with you there.

He's on a hiding to nothing at that place in George Street. It used to be busy back in the day but of course now anyone who wants a coffee goes to the coffee shops and Trevorspoons sell their booze far cheaper than he ever could. He just can't win sadly.

He's cool. He's in very good form lately. If he's feeling down he can just pop along to The Cricketers and listen to the till ringing constantly.

Oh, and Le Lion D'Or opposite Trevorspoons is soon to shut and become yet another bookmakers. Coz there aren't many around those parts eh?
