I note Mr Barber has appeased the Football League by saying that in future there will be more robust transport arrangements in place for a home fixture on Boxing Day. Does this infer the transport levy included in the match ticket price will rise from £3 to £5 next season ???
Exactly , when I worked at BT they used to move Boxing Day , all the club need to do is ask the FL to declare the 27th December as a bank holiday compensatory day due to transport difficulties.
If the club cannot reach agreement with the transport companies it comes down to the Safety Advisory Group recommending the game is switched to another date. I assume the FL would agree to this.
As part of the 4 match pack the ticket would still be valid for the re-scheduled game , what remains to be seen is the club offering a £28 refund for supporters who cannot go to the game when it is due to be played.
