I guess it would depend on the situation, but you'd hope that just drawing the gun would make them scarper without actually having to shot them.

Not sure of the details but I think shooting someone is a lot worse than robbing someone :shrug: Hence, they were both in the wrong. I don't believe you should be able to take the law in to your own hands unless you feel threatened for your life...
