    But you're not comparing like with like. I'm guessing they have pukka pies or similar, which will have around 20p worth of meat in rather than £2. I bet you anything that their mark up is far higher than on our "artisan" pies. Edit: and it's one of the poorest cities in the country.

    You can usually see the contents spewing out the top to a certain extent. But if I were a vegie I'd be ripping them open with my fingers first!

    I think Aadam was being sarcastic. Yesterday was the first time I've had a pie with sauce in! It was almost tasty though still needed some flavouring a little worcester source and some stock would do the trick.

    Have to say, despite being very skint, I'm in complete agreement with Commander. It's £3.51 per pint if you use your season ticket, less for fosters. They've got a captive audience and I'm surprised they're not charging more TBH. IIRC it was £4.50 a pint in Stoke and that in a town where you can...
