Sorry, I DO NOT hate CMS, if you look at my posts, I have tried to be objective, and have praised he effort and work rate. I would have loved him to be a success at Championship level, but he has failed to be one with Posh, and now us. In my opinion, he lacks the necessary quality to beat the...
You really believe that don't you?
Yes, our midfield often had to shield our weak defense, but they did produce loads of chances for CMS - and he blew the vast majority of them.
There was no way he was going to score. He was totally ineffective, worked really hard, ran his socks off, but never looked like he would score. Just like he is for us.
Gus will look even worse if he keeps him as our main striker and plays him regularly, as we will not get promoted. It is a sign of a good manager, in any walk of life, to recognise their mistakes, take corrective actions accordingly, and learn from them. Gus will be stupid to bury his head in...
Forced being the operative word. Not out of desire. The other problem with CMS and Gus' style of play, it the amount of times that balls going to/towards him, are simply giving away possession.
To me, I just feel that the way he played against us for Posh, in his last match against us at their...
The observations I have made are totally justified. Goals from open play? What with one played as a striker, and the other in midfield? Do you really think CMS even has a performance in him to compare to that of Ashley Barnes on Saturday? I am not comparing them - others are. Comparison is...
I totally agree. In my opinion, that is why CMS is not suited to Championship football. His game and technical ability in ineffective against quality defenders. First touch is so important in creating the space, and his is that of a rapist.
Whilst it is a fair comment about service being somewhat limited at times last year, CMS had more than enough chances to score which he invariably wasted by a poor first touch, being out of position, or simply making a poor shot. For me, that is the whole point about CMS, he is simply not lethal...
It may have helped if there was some logic to his runs and positioning, and they could find him. That is the big difference with Ashley Barnes, his positioning is good so he gets chances.
Not at Championship level he won't. He only scraped 11 in 47 for them at this level. I am afraid he is simply a lower-league striker, and very good against poor quality defenders.
Really? Will they stop him running around like a headless chicken, and beat quality defenders? If they can, good luck to them. I would rather see a proven goal scorer at this level or above.
