That was the seventh time I'd seen him, and possibly apart from the Born in the USA show, it was the best. It had everything. Crowd interaction, monologues, guests and a general 'feel good' factor, to the point that the rain didn't really matter. Add to this songs from all across his vast...
I'll aim to get there about 6.15pm., find a decentish spot, listen to the tuts from the people I'm now standing in front of, then watch the crew set up for BS et al @ 7pm. :smile:
It's a shame that what we seem to have now is X Factor type pop 'stars'. Here for five minutes, then never to be heard of again. A lot of people like constants in their music, and BS has been playing music for prob over 50 years, which is some experience he's gained :rolleyes:
I think it's a shame he doesn't do anything (or v. rarely) from Tunnel of Love, as it's prob my fave album (and am gutted I never saw the Tunnel of Love Express tour show at Wembley in '88!) I think it probably reminds him of his ill-fated early marriage, and her indoors now, Ms. Scialfa, most...
One song that gets included regularly and early in his sets is Badlands, which is ever so much a political rant, with the elements of struggle, lost love, and redemption all rolled into one :rolleyes:

I didn't know Tom Morello was on the Hyde Park bill. Bruce has been known to do a duet with him of 'The Ghost of Tom Joad.' Now that would be worth seeing, if it happens :rolleyes:
