Has anyone mentioned Searching for the Young Soul Rebels by Dexys since I've been away? Can't see it. So a shout for that. I'll also go a second nomination on The Decline of British Sea Power. And if we're talking The The I'd say Soul Mining has to be their best.

Oh and Scampi must have MISSED my nomination for The Seldom Seen kid by Elbow which is lyrically brilliant, musically complex, wonderfully produced and way more ubiquitous than you'd think. Also it won a Mercury Music Prize. So there. There's my attempted persuasion fella :)
