No one is claiming he's a poor downtrodden innocent, but they are saying he was treated unfairly by the club. As for the kid being frightened for his dad - maybe his dad should have been more responsible and got a ticket in the away section?

Yeah he\\\'s a total melt for confronting a Palace fan obviously playing up in the home section... Personally I think the bloke conducted himself pretty well given the circumstances. A lot of individuals at the game that night would have thought planting one on the bloke would be the best...

It's the kind of mentality that has got the club into this mess. The ideology seems to be 'if you have attracted the attention of the stewards/and/or police then you are a hooligan and should therefore be banned without question.'

The fact people are scared about what they say on this matter is even more concerning. This is a football club, not a fascist dictatorship! People should be able to share their opinions without worrying about \'retribution\' from people who\'s wages we pay! It\'s mind boggling!

I really hope our delightful local rag pick up on this. The people responsible for this are always the first ones to label others as \'scum\' when they are proven to have done something wrong, so I would hope that the Argus names and shames them with the same vigor that they treated certain...
