Any of the new towns just north of London. No soul.
Leicester. Nazi bombs didn't leave much, so a naff city centre was rebuilt with Readymix. No one looks happy.
And the poor buggers from the BBC are being forced to move there, as the Corporation force social engineering by going up north.
Unsurprisingly, many like Sian Williams have said no thanks to moving to the constant cloud & drizzle.
Canterbury & Southampton as a student.
Although the former is historic, both had so little to offer socially.
Southampton, although just about a city (unlike the massive Shoreham to Brighton conurbation), is a really boring dump, with an ugly concrete centre after the Luftwaffe destroyed the old.
