Yes and no. The players voluntarily ( although in reality were pushed into ) took a pay cut to avoid so many redundancies. If they hadn't then they knew THEY could be the ones taking redundancy. The preferred creditors rule in England means all the other staff would have to be made redundant...
I think part of the problem is the club don't own the ground so if it's wound up where would they play ? That said, I agree with you - they've had plenty of chances and it should now be goodbye Pompey !
A fair point but I would direct you to Man Utd fans who have being, and continue, to question how their club is run and it's finances ( and yes, it depresses me to hold up some Man Utd fans as a beacon of fan resistance ! ).
