Q: did the two winger system work?
I maintain it is inherently wrong because we can only play on one wing at the time (the other winger can drop back into midfield), but we are still one short against a 4-4-2 and even then Macca has not got a partner upfront. The 4-4-2 team just waits for us...

Brighton

03 Greer
05 Dunk
06 El-Abd
27 Taricco

25 LuaLua
26 Bridcutt
30 Buckley
12 Mackail-Smith
Substitutes
01 Brezovan, 31 Hall, 08 Navarro, 11 Noone, 13 Paynter
I'd guess it is 4-3-3 but I am not sure. Passing out to the flanks with an outlet through...
Watford fail to play party poopers against Cardiff 1-1
BBC Sport - Watford v Cardiff
Whilst Southampton are just 1-0 up there is still a chance for Palace unless the referee intervenes. Southampton seem a couple of players short of a Premier League team already.
I have given up forecasting what team Gus will put out, But I would expect El-Abd, Greer, Bridcutt and Macca to be definites. And probably Ankergen and Dunk. I think Kazenga will feature on the pitch at some time (unless we get any more red cards).
Southampton playing superbly and McGhee comments are sound. 1-0.
BBC Sport - Southampton v Crystal Palace
McGhee has no connections with Palace or Southampton ? But he has with both Reading and Brighton.
Southampton v Palace about to KO on Radio 5 Extra with Mark McGhee as advisor.
BBC Sport - Southampton v Crystal Palace
I don't think I will bear listening to it though.
