Is he that good?

I thought that he was best left back I have seen since Wayne Bridge.
Why did we sign Paynter. Bring back Barnes!
I thought the tactics of Gus were OK. Just that Paynter and Harley were not good enough. Playing 4-4-2 as the manual says does leave a gap between the defence and attack. Never realised how much before this game. Adkins maybe ahead of Gus, but this was an away match against the leaders. Got to...
PS: The first penalty decision is definitely the worst one I have ever seen against the Albion as it was neither a foul and so far out of the box that there should be an inquiry. The referee seems to have lost the plot. Fonte should have been booked for diving.
The second penalty was a good...
It reminded of the FA Cup defeat away at Stoke.
Our team on that day fired blanks as well:
Brighton
01 Brezovan
03 Greer
04 Elphick
14 Calderon
22 Painter
05 Battipied (Caskey 60)
07 Bennett
18 Dicker
26 Bridcutt
09 Barnes (Baz 74)
17 Murray (Sandaza 61)
Substitutes
16 Ankergren, 27 Taricco...

Southampton were better than I expected and the Albion played very average. And Paynter and Harley were below average. I think the tactics were OK. I missed the first goal which was always going to be important. Then the diabolical penalty decision and...

Southampton just edged the first half creating two half chances whilst the Albion failed to create anything. It will have to change as we will go down 1-0, but it looked a bit better at the end of the first half.
Strangely, I would like to...
I think Southampton are more of a counter-attacking team and the important thing is not to lose the ball in midfield. Navarro will be the star player. Perhaps, Sparrow as well. They will have most of the work to do. A big test for Paynter.
Looks like a 4-4-2 that can be switched to 4-3-3 without a change of players. I tipped Navarro to return and Taricco at RB, but not Sparrow. What colours are we playing in?
If we get any corners, Noone to take them. Who will take our penalty?
Where is Buckley?

They seem to expect an easy win, with a few thinking it will be a score draw.
What system do you play? I can't work it from just the highlights. Teams hardly ever change to the defensive 4-4-2. That's the formation they start with and only change if they need a goal taking one out of midfield and brining on an extra striker or winger.
