It's been mentioned by me and a couple of others on the Disney thread, but there really hasn't been much talk about The Bear.
The one take episode is season 1 was quite something.
I was fairly wired eyed and breathless throughout, then the credits came up.
I thought 'christ that was some...
West Wing 1-4 is 10/10, sadly series 5-7 brings it down 0.75!
The Americans is the only series I've watched in full and that's comfortably Top 20, quite possibly Top 10, but can't hold a candle to TWW and Sopranos.
The Bear (Disney) is the only current show I've seen that comes into the...
As the thread is here I strongly recommend this to the house.

It's a shame nobody will watch as if I can assume 'sport' is our communal bond, this isn't too far off the ultimate sports doc.
If someone does choose to watch, don't Wiki...
The Old Man comes to me highly recommended.
American political thriller, a few strands already in the air.
A little La Carre through ep1, but ep2 is already fleshing it out.
Sky Atlantic & NOW TV from 07.06.
Heard it described as "The Wire's son".
I very very strongly urge you not to look ahead, but definitely look back.
I'm enjoying the insight from one particular 'just watched...' podcast.
Trust David Simon to tell the story, which does conclude after 6 episodes.
It's not The Wire as such, it's a true story re BPD.
But it's impossible to watch without thinking 'blimey this is like The Wire', what with it being a David Simon production.
I've watched 5 of 6 and it really is quite something, so well put together.
Very much a lesson in storytelling.
Many a home for this, here, boxsets, and HBO.
David Simon's not quite sequel to The Wire has started in the US.
I'm 2 episodes in (don't ask) and it's clearly a bit special
Just finished YellowJackets.
I recommend it but...
... You've gotta go with it.
Needed to have been all in on series 1 of Lost.
Fan of Lord of the Files.
Enjoy a pinch of Scooby Doo!
They threw everything at the first series.
It starts and ends completely bonkers.
Going forward it can go...
Oh my.
Now 4 episodes in and my mind is blown.
How to with John Wilson is the BEST.
How To Cover Your Furniture takes such a turn it would be impossible to guess and I absolutely NEED someone else to watch it, so we can talk around the episode.
Sorry folks but my American touchstones are in a rich vein of form, at the moment.
If you know where to look, even after just one and a half episodes, I recommend looking here:-
Had a lot of actual lol's watching the first episode.
The second episode certainly begins with a thwack!
Anyhoo I've also been put onto
I'm not entirely sure others will go with it, what with the premise being the wake of a global pandemic.
Anyhoo, so far at least, that's been seriously played down (obviously) and is just the devise used...
I've just watched the first episode of YellowJackets (by other means)
It appears to be a mix of Deliverance, Animal Farm and Lost, all wrapped up in a girls soccer team.
It has all the hallmarks of a classic American expensive series, ie, stick around too long before disappearing up its own...
I've slipped back into bad habits.
Bearing Sea Gold
Weapons grade lunatics suction dredge diving for gold from under the Ice of the Bearing Sea.
American Pickers.
Weapons grade lunatics living on unfeasibly big plots of land, off-loading scrap onto Frank and Mike.
