Recommendation for Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet (comedy) on Apple TV which was released 10 days ago.
Co-created by Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney of Always Sunny in Philadelphia and starring Rob McElhenney, F. Murray Abraham, etc... about a computer gaming company. It has Always Sunny...
Episode 9 “Retreat to Move Forward’ sums up Six Sigma perfectly.
The ‘Six Pillars of Six Sigma’ is superb: Teamwork, Insight, Brutality, Male Enhancement, Handshakefulness and Play Hard.
Also, Team Building with L.U.N.C.H. and C.L.A.S.S. and the Schedule of Workshops...
They are. Both shows are superb observational comedies delivered with style. Seinfeld is well-observed general life with a little slapstick, whilst Curb is a whole hotch-potch of observational, embarrassment, ‘laurel and hardy-style misfortune’, etc....
I am trying to introduce my daughter to...
Lesser know fact about this is that the comic book on which it is based was co-created by Gerard Way, the former lead singer of My Chemical Romance.
This was introduced to me by my MCR-obsessed daughter. I quite enjoyed the show too.
Will be glad to finish Billions Season 4 this week. It’s basically turned into Grey’s Monotony and I won’t bother watching another season.
Tin Star 2 is starting to recover around episode 7, so I’ll agree with you there.
Running out of quality stuff at the moment.
Well don’t let me put you off Deep State. It’s a decent enough show generally and every opinion is valid. I thought that it started well, but most of the second half of the series felt a bit routine for me.
On other shows lately I’m finding that even the shows that had good first seasons are...
You haven’t seen Julia Louis Dreyfus in anything else? Like Seinfeld for instance?
And you live in New York.
But you haven’t seen Seinfeld.
Does not compute.
Currently watching these three on alternate days when available:
Ozark S2
Gomorrah S3
Better Call Saul S4
Ozark is the pick for me.
BCS is a close second.
Gomorrah is just a different type of show altogether, but pretty decent if you like Mob stories and can tolerate subtitles.
Appreciated the tip. It was some way into the credits and I would normally have turned off by then.
I had a similar mixed view of the programme over all. Plenty of intrigue and well shot, but sometimes unnecessarily dis-jointed.
I finished Gomorrah Series 2 a couple of weeks back. The first few episodes followed the routine of establishing a new plot focus with The Alliance and so for my liking it took a long time to get going, but it certainly got stronger as the series progressed (more dramatic scenes) and it is in a...
Totally in agreement. I wouldn’t recommend anyone goes out of their way to watch Deep State and the fact that there seems to be no plan to commission a second series is all anyone needs to know. Billions is excellent.
I started watching Sharp Objects a few weeks ago and that has been pretty...
Finished both series of Sneaky Pete recently. Pretty good.
Now watching Deep State on Fox (yes, I know) and the latest Billions series on Sky.
Billions is definitely one of the most watchable American dramas on TV today.
Deep State is OK and fairly routine spy drama. The main reason I am...
Just binge-watched Series 1 in the last 2 weeks. Very impressed.
Taking a break for now to watch Sneaky Pete on Amazon Prime before I go back to watch Series 2 of Gomorrah.
LK Junior had us watching the first episode of Season 2 at 08.05 this morning. It was only released at 08.00am which aligned with 00:00 time in L.A. so she waited a very restrained 5 minutes before diving in.
We are now watching Episode 2 (forced rationing by me).
Yes. It was very good. Watched it in 2 weeks which is my highest praise for any TV show.
Unusual setting in Mid-West U.S., some decent plot-twists and great acting. Well worth a try if you haven't yet started.
