Marroccos, Hove Seafront
Famous for its ice cream, but the food they dish up is superb. Went for the seafood platter, whole crab, king prawns, scallops, mussells and oysters all served on ice, and the fortuna mista - which is a platter of various fish in a light batter. Top food, great service...
Otellos - Church Road, Hove
Quite good for the cheapish and cheerful. Seems the most authentic of the Italian restaurants in that part of Hove. Spaghetti Fruitti De Mar was great, massive prawns and huge mussels. Other places tend to use those mixed seafood packs you see in supermarkets. Pizza...
Still struggling to find anything I like more then The Medicine Chest.
Solera Tapas on Sydney Street im loving,
Been to Mr Noodle on Queens Road a couple of times (love Pompoko and youll love this - although quieter, the food is great, same sort of price)

Solera D Tapa - Sydney Street
Easily the best tapas I have eaten in Brighton, by a long way. A tiny place (less than 20 tables) Food was brilliant, service was a bit hectic as it was busy, but the food was reasonably priced (6 dishes, 1 glass of wine for £25)
I had a selection of chorizo...
The Medicine Chest
Best bowl of Moules marinier ive had in town, the bread to was amazing too.
Went for set menu and food was still tremendous. A strange little venue and location, but food and services top notch.

Ruddy hell its good, it was set out like a sushi bar, with the kitchen in the middle and everyone sat round watching their meals being carefully prepared.
Starter was a deconstructed fish...
Hotel Seattle, Brighton Marina
Bit disappointed with it. Ordered Bread platter for starters, all the bread was a bit stale - bit of a waste of money even for £3. Rest was OK, but didnt stand out, the fish cakes were good though, wish I had that. 6.0

Kaydee's Restaurant - East Street, Brighton
Service was friendly, but they didnt seem to know what they were talking about when it comes to all the vouchers in The Argus (not the dine for £10 ones). They tried to dress up British classics, but it didnt...
I was there the second day it was open, it was like falty towers. The waiters were stressed. They kept bringing the wrong food and drinks to the wrong tables, and ended up going around the restaurant asking people what they ordered. Food waiting time was over an hour
They then got everyones...
With a New Year comes a new thread to keep our food reviews together.
