I'm serious - we have the strictest libel laws in the world in this country. You simply CANNOT publish lies about someone without it costing you a lot of money. And I suspect the vast majority of the journalists are English, and as such want the team to do well as much as the rest of us.

The libel laws these days mean that the newspapers very seldom print lies about people - and if they do, it tends to cost them a lot of money. You'll remember that it was Alfie Patten and his family that sold their (false) story to the papers.
