I have been a critic of the shite produced by Adams teams and selections most of this season but it sounds like we lost a bit unluckily tonight, I feel vaguely encouraged by what I've heard tonight and nowhere near as angry as I've felt after most games.
Sounds to me like we've competed and played reasonably, maybe we can build on this. Not suprised to lose but encouraged by what seems to have been a proper battling dispay turned by what sounds like a pretty contentious penalty.
Anyway, who posting on this thread is expecting us to win? I'm not, but a rousing performance will be enough for me on the strength of the way we've played most of this season
Should be, but that is exactly why I'm not impressed with Adams this time round, it his job to make sure they do it and if they don't the underperforming players should be dropped..imo however big their wage packet. I expected the days of players getting picked regardless of their form would...
So it looks like we're gonna sit deep and invite them onto us in the hope of hitting them on the break? Hartlepool are not great defensively but they are pretty good going forward so I'm not too upset that we're probably gonna try and contain them initially. Without the loanees we're not good...
I expect a comprehensive defeat but really hope that this is the 4th game this season where turn it on and take the game to the opposition. Soft goals either side of halftime or at the death will really really piss me off.
