there were a few "brighton reject" chants and some comments along the lines of "mayo is better than you" - although it was in all likeliness tongue in cheek
i think the thing that really wound him up was the treatment he received from our players - especially whing, who being his usual self...

you are right though - i dont think the likes of oatway, hart, mayo or cullip would have celebrated though. simply because none of them were dropped by the manager for not being good enough, only to go on...
a passionate celebrating a win against a side he used to play for and was deemed not good enough for by some - especially when he had songs of "brighton reject" whenever he cocked up - although they were tongue in cheek - fans shouting "you're not as good as mayo", and a mouthy right back...
