    [Albion] I'm happy, are you?

Yes. Haven’t always been happy this season but you can’t argue with where we have finished.

[Football] Bradford Fire 40 Years Ago

Today is the 40th anniversary of the Bradford City fire. We had just played Sheffield Utd (?) in the last game of the season at The Goldstone and I recall the news reports coming through on the radio as we drove home. The images of that day remain shocking and for all we might sometimes regret...

[Albion] York City 1996: What was your experience?

Well I didn't know it was about to happen - to be fair I'd been absent from much of what was going on due to other life stuff. So, I decided it would be a good game to take my five year old son for his first taste of the Albion. His mum wasn't impressed but he is now a diehard fan so turned out...

    [Politics] Well done Kier

Frankly who would want to drink in the pub of such a unpleasant landlord.

    [Politics] The Labour Government

And that is the really important point - Trump like it or not has changed everything so its right that the govt respond to the reality of today rather than the historical position. I heard the utterly shameless local MP Andrew Griffith on the radio this morning complaining that Labour should...

    [Albion] Slade in Flame

I'm a big fan. Slade Alive was the first album I owned and Jim Lea has been a massive influence on my playing over the years. I saw them at Reading in 1980 when they replaced Ozzy Osbourne and blew the place away. I saw the film at The Regent Cinema in London not long before COVID when Dave...

How do you get from Woodingdean to the ground?

    [Albion] The traffic today...

I travel from BH and gave up on this route as Coldean Lane could be such a pain. I now do Chailey, Lewes and in from the east on the A27. A predictable 30 min journey. I’ll do the Beacon home but I’m one of those who leave a couple of mins early.

    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

Exactly. Populist nonsense from a party with no experience of governing or managing anything. Not fit to run a bath.

    [News] Nigel Farage and Reform

Perhaps, by the time of the next election, the charlatans of Reform will have screwed up the councils they are now running so badly, that this mid term spike never translates into a long term GE spike. Or maybe I'm just overly optimistic.
