The playoffs are not unfair though. Most teams would take 3rd and playoffs at the start of the season. It only ever seems to be a gripe when the team in third goes out.
Ultimately the top two teams are the only two that deserve automatic promtion. And if you finish third, like Sheff Utd did...
There's nothing wrong with the current system. There's nothing unfair about finishing 3rd and not getting promoted. Put simply the team that finished 3rd weren't good enough to get automatic promotion. And if they can't win the playoffs they don't deserve to go up.
I hate to say it but I wouldn't be surprised if Van Hecke gets sold. He has been outstanding and clearly its been noticed. Having said that, our interest in multiple centre backs isnt necessarily proof that hes off. It wouldn't be the first time that we've been overstocked in that department...
I like Julio, but I don't think there was ever a case for him being our best defender or most inform, let a lone a strong case. Specifically I'm thinking Fulham away and Leicester back to back where he made horrendous errors that cost us goals.
Genuinely here, I know you haven't said he should have job, and I wasn't directing my posts to you. And i realise you have a personal connection here, so I wasn't trying to undermine what you said, which was wishing happy retirement. And I'm not disputing people's affection for him. People can...
Never said anything about what sort of man he is, in fact i quite clearly stated that I wasn't saying anything against him as a person. Maybe before you going go calling my comments stupid you should read the comments properly
Thats a fair point, I'm sure the club did need the money.
But I don't see much difference between JK leaving and Caicedo or Cucurella leaving. I don't begrudge any of them a move for more money or a bigger club etc. I just don't see any of them as hero's or great club servants, they were just...
To Oldham as a player and Pompey as coach. I appreciate people on here know him, and I'm definitely not saying that he's a bad guy etc. I just don't think the club owe him anything.
People always argue that player's careers are short, and they have to do what's right for them, which is...
I started going in there regularly last autumn. Friendly staff in there, and I felt sorry for them because quite often id be the only person in there, or at best there'd be a handful of people. But to be honest they struggled to keep the beer in good condition. A couple of times of times my...
I went through three stages of acceptance looking at that shirt.
Denial - "that has to be a joke."
Anger - "Its been designed by a Palace fan as an act of sabotage."
Acceptance - "Who ever designed that shouldn't be fired, they should be sent for counselling"
I was just thinking, how has no one mentioned Skyrim? I could also play that game forever. I think it's my all time favorite game. It set the bar for RPG Openworld games. For me it was genre defining.
I played Oblivion and New Vegas before, and loved them. But when Skyrim came out its was...
"Transitional bollocks" gets rolled out when there is a change in manager, because some of us realise that this presents a challenge and aren't entitled enough or have such a simplistic vision of football that we expect our team to champions league contenders every season.
I don't think we've under performed this season. It was pretty much where I expected us to be. We've looked good in spells, and not so good in others. I think it was always going to be a transition season, and one where we laid a foundation for the seasons to follow.
We have dropped points...
I think if Bart goes, we will do what we did when he arrived. We'll give a younger keeper a chance, probably Rushworth, but he'll be rotated with Steele, like we did under De Zerbi.
It was said back then that the rotation was designed to give a younger keeper game time in the prem, while not...
