I remember ages ago RDZ something along the lines of JH not being a youth player, but being a first team player. Imagine the confidence that would’ve given an 18 year old lad for your manager to say publicly to the media after making a handful of appearances in an injury plagued side. He’s gone...
I agree. It’s a professional football match in one of the best league’s in the world. Small club mentality would be to give the home grown lad the chance to score a hat-trick rather than make the sporting decision to let your best penalty taker on the field take it.
I’m sure you understand the rules better than me, but it just doesn’t sit right with me. The whistle should either be final or not. If that means the laws need to change then so be it. I don’t see how it’s fair in one scenario and whistle can be overturned and in another it can’t.
What a bizarre season. Outplayed Spurs home and away, 23 more points than them, yet they’ve won a trophy and are playing in the Champions League. Let’s make the most of it next season. We can concentrate on the league while 8 teams toil away in Europe.
What a result. Champions of Europe 1 Brighton 4. 61 is good effort. Just a shame we threw away so many points at home against teams in the bottom otherwise we’d have got Europe. We’re not quite back to where we were in RDZ first season, but definitely a step in the right direction.
The funny thing is, 3 or 4 years ago they’d have got nowhere the title with their points tally and they’d be getting slated for having a poor season lol.
I think they could be in for a shock next season if the other teams step up their game again.
Do you really think players are that egotistical? I’d be totally fine about being on the bench now and again if I was earning the big bucks lol. Seasons almost over, why should it matter to him?!
Let me guess. Retro Liverpool kit. Never been past the Watford gap. Their Grandad liked Liverpool in the 70s when they used to win all the time despite being from Sussex so that’s their justification in supporting a team 100s of miles away that they never watch in person.
