Revisiting Scoop by Waugh. Fantastically funny - Gives a humorous insight into the Fleet Street of the late 1930's.

Currently PG Wodehouse - Righty Ho, Jeeves. Light intermittent reading from the master himself - there isn't anyone who comes close to Wodehouse.

Baffling stuff, mate. It's one of those that i re-read and interpret it entirely differently from the previous readings.

I certainly appreciate the context, however, it doesn't grab me and fully absorb me in the way I know it does for others. It is, for sure, an important era in literature that has to be valued for that very fact but it doesn't appeal to the senses the same way other prose does. A matter of taste...

The inevitable "You fat b*stard" chants started. I turned around to see who began the chant only to find it was a balding 18 stone mid 40s bloke who looked like he couldn't run a bath let alone 100 metres. The irony was appreciated.
