If you want to get away from the crowds visit the Serralves modern art museum gardens. The gardens are terrific ( we didn’t bother with the art museum itself) such a welcome change after being in the city with a zillion tourists.
Easy and cheap taxi to get there we then went to the nearby coast...
Welcome too. You might want to try Tom Ulliot’s training group. This is free and runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am not a member but only hear positive things about the group. Most of them are park runners the 19-21 min range.

Struggled after a Christmas Party yesterday and came home in 1:28. The course had changed a bit and is now a tad over 10 miles, but I can’t blame this for being around 10...
