I have to agree it's already looking like the home games at the Amex against Newcastle & Norwich are going to be absolutley massive games for us this season if we want to avoid yet again just missing out on an automatic place.
What am I on about, YOU MAY WELL ASK ?.
Well, according to my calculations we've now only lost 7 of the last 60 Championship league games we've played since early May 2015. The first of the 60 was our 0-0 draw away at Middlesbrough.
It's hard to believe that we are still in the Championship...
What worries me most of all is that the players playing for England right now probably believe there all fairly good players as they mostly all play for Premiership teams. Sadly their all extremely average, & even worse I can't ever see that improving as things are within English football right...
Yes to date 17 reviews on Owlstalk Forum Fans in praise of Lewis Dunk. They all think Lewis is far & away the best C/B in the Championship, some even say that Lewis Dunk & Anthony Knockaert both belong in the Prem not the Championship.
England could do a lot worse than giving Lewis a try, the...
If you ask me Chris Martin is one of the reasons their in the mess they are right now. As good as they've been in recent seasons everything regarding Derby's attacking options were all built around him. All their eggs in one basket so to speak, no Plan B. Once his form disappeared & now he's...
I tend to agree there's clearly something inherently wrong within Derby County as a Club right now, not sure exactly what that is, I'm not even sure they know. But it's certainly not just Pearson or the players. The Club seems to be making one bad decision after another these days, especially...
Yes one of the special Moments in Albion history was the 35th minute universal standing ovation from the fans for the sublime skills of Anthony Knockeart yesterday. The mans a genius with the ball at his feet. God knows how many men Barnsley put on him yesterday but not one of them could get the...
After the surprise results in the Championship already this season, we really need to take the opportunity before the arrival of the International break to put some distance between ourselves & the big spending teams. Because they surely won't be this poor all season long.
A team missing out on automatic promotion in the Championship when finishing with 89 points having lost only 5 games all season of the 46 League games played ?. 5000/1 perhaps, I wonder ?.
When I see our finish to last season yet again I'm still finding really hard to believe that we actually missed out on going up. What I wouldn't give for table above to look the same for our last 18 games next season, but sadly that may be wishful thinking off course.
I will be watching it, praying that Hull win. I just can't get my head round Sheffield Wednesday winning when they finished the season 15 points behind us, that's 5 wins we had more than them for gods sake. Then they rested their entire squad why'll we battled with Boro in the last game of the...
One truly excellent post.
I was lucky enough to sit next to Bruno on his table at the recent Awards Dinner. The man is in person an absolute gentleman who has with his whole family totally embraced life in England & Brighton 100% & he gives exactly the same every time he dons a Brighton shirt...
Well I don't know about the unluckiest club out there, it certainly seemed that way over the last two games
But that's now six massive games over the last four seasons & we've failed to win any of them.
PALACE 2012/13 PLAY OFFS 0-0 away, 0-2 home
DERBY 2013/14 PLAY OFFS 1-2 home, 4-1 away
BORO...
If I was a Wednesday fan I would have left the stadium tonight somewhat a little disappointed. We were a severely wounded animal tonight & they should have killed the game off when we went down to ten men. But they failed to win by anymore than two goals. They could well come to regret that come...
Come on let's be POSITIVE. Trust in Hughton, we have all season & he's not let us down yet. The boys will be really up for this tonight after Saturdays misfortune.
We must put all this behind us immediately, we know we can't change anything now. Stephen's & Dunk will be both a huge miss, but perhaps our recent bad luck will mean more fortunate times ahead in the Play Offs. We still have a squad more than capable of winning promotion. Heads down boys & lets...
