Not sure anyone is talking champions league contenders, or even European contenders, just nice to see the team giving it a go, and playing on the front foot for a change
We have had our share of injuries as well this season, and for both our clubs, it has a significant effect on our...
I'm not going to hold my breath
But it will not be an Amex tribute act. We're not moving to the edge of town, but staying in the heart of our community.
All good things come to those who wait
Natural rivalry with Charlton? There's no natural rivalry with those clowns. They are desperate to find rivals though, so maybe Bournemouth could step up.
If not rivals with Brighton, Palace would probably pick Millwall, even though they save their real hatred for West Ham
The plan was to utilise the old national sports centre, but there were way too many NIMBYs who kicked off and said no way can it happen, and there is only one station, not the 3 near Selhurst
Until the local police agree that both clubs can take a full allocation, its unlikely I will get to see the Amex in all its glory. It is out of town though, so doesnt have the problem of being in a seedy area of Brighton. I assume there is a not so nice part of Brighton.
I cant dispute that, but most "old" grounds tended to be in run down areas of the town, I'm thinking Maine Road in Moss side, as a prime example. New grounds tend to be built out of town, or in areas undergoing regeneration. I never went to the Goldstone so no idea what that part of town was...
CPFC are London in the same way as BHAFC are Brighton. Selhurst is in the London borough of Croydon, with postcode SE25, and an outer London telephone number
The Amex is in Falmer, 7 miles from Brighton sea front, Selhurst is 9 miles from central London
So Lewis made a couple of errors in the 2 games, but I thought he had an excellent game against Scotland. I noticed that a lot of the time, he, like the rest of the back four were playing keep ball amongst themselves, so I wonder if he doesnt feel he is able to bring the ball out of defence...
The league does seem really split this season, The top 3 are way ahead, the bottom 2 way adrift, and then two sets of middling teams who have not a lot to play for. Its clear you have not had as good a season as last, and yet you are still in 8th, while as said we will probably finish 13th +-...
That would be down to the administrators, and I think the answer was probably no
The second administration was due to a relatively small debt to some hedge fund that got cold feet, and pulled the plug if you believe Simon Jordan
If we are going to talk attendances what happened prior to the Amex? I am led to believe that the Withdean had many matches that were not a sell out, although I stand to be corrected
Most teams have fickle fans that disappear when the "glamour" of the PL is gone, I'm sure this applies to both...
Sorry, I am even later than loz to the party. It was not good on Saturday from what I saw on highlights. Very frustrating for someone who cant get a ticket to see loads leaving at half time, and then loads mixing it with the players at the end. I can only imagine the scenes if the players...
Shame we didnt get Cornet, like the look of Munoz and Wharton, but doubt Roy will trust them to start. I'd personally put both in, especially as Eze may not be fit
I had that same thought, that Tuesday worked well in prep for Saturday. Our win earned Roy a stay of execution, despite it being a typical Roy performance, with us hanging on for the last 20 minutes, and you got a stinker of a performance out of the way. I really hope I am wrong, but I expect...
