    Final Placing. Season 2011/2012

This division has the potential to be the most unpredictable in history. Top half finish , anything better a bonus. Having said that, as long as Gus stays, who knows whats possible.

LuaLua - does he have a future at BHA?

Even when hes just on the bench, I always beleive that he could come on and change a match within minutes. Perhaps at the moment thats not needed but it will be quite a few times this season. He is definitely not a 90 minute player, but I still think he could in time become an Albion legend!

    Musicals

Les Mis and Phantom were the first 2 I ever went to see. Spoilt me for anything else though!

A huge thank you! (from PAFC)

Also, respect to the Argyle players. Am I right in thinking that they continued to play without wages, to keep the club going? I live near Wrexham and their players refused to play 2 pre season matches when their wages were late being paid by a week.

    Random questions

Seeing as there is no Brighton footie for a fortnight and we are into silly season, here are 3 random questions. 1. If away matches were streamed live back to the Amex on big screens would you go. (Ignore legal difficulties with the stream) 2. When we are live on telly (ie Leeds) do you...

Confirmation Vicente has signed! [Season 1: 2011]

As someone who knows very little about Spanish football, can someone give me a comparison please. How does Vicente compare with, for example, David Beckam 6 years ago? from what I have read they were both considered amongst the best players in the world at some point. I guess what I'm sayin is...

Confirmation Vicente has signed! [Season 1: 2011]

Some of the transfer blogs on here this summer have made even the blockbuster classic films of the past seem like short fill in cartoons!! Of all the transfer sagas, in all the forums, in all the world, you had to walk into this one. Are we getting near the end now?

Confirmation Vicente has signed! [Season 1: 2011]

I think I do remember him vaguley from 2004, but to be honest I am not a great follower of foreign football. I have read up on him now and he obviously has had a brilliant career so far.

Confirmation Vicente has signed! [Season 1: 2011]

Sunday morning I woke up on top of the world. We had won again on Saturday, were on top of the table and I'd never heard of Vicente. Now I am totally depressed that we may not get him. It takes a bit of calm thinking about that actually we are still top and have a great team as it stands now...

Confirmation Vicente has signed! [Season 1: 2011]

He is a brilliant player, but hes coming to the end of his career and also is probably 'set for life' financially. Maybe hes looking at more than just the football side of it, but also the lifestyle aspect. Now by anybodys book when it comes to lifestyle in England, Brighton has to be in the...

    Johnny Goodchild RIP

1964. One of my first full seasons watching the Albion. Never lost the bug since. Johnny Goodchild was either briliant or rubbish depending on the day as far as I can remember. I thought Brian Powney and Walley Gould were outstanding players. Are they still about? So sad that the team that...

    Possibility of unwated record

Oh I didn't mean I am anything but over the moon with the start we have made. Don't get me wrong, and I think we have every possibility of really challenging this season. I was merely pointing out how rare that situation would be.

    Possibility of unwated record

If we beat Peterborough today, and other results go in a certain way, we could have won 4 and drawn 1 of our opening 5 matches, and still not be in the top 3. Been looking but can't find a case in any division where that has happened before. I don't think it will happen though 'cause I fancy...

    Favourite Albion Wingers

Agree with most on your list, but if were going back far enough, mid 60's, Wally Gould has to be on the list. What a player to watch!! Personally, I think LuaLua will go on to be the best Brighton winger of all time, provided he is used sparingly and can avoid getting clobbered by defenders who...

    Ethos of the Albion team.

Agree about Murray. Not just sour grapes because he did do a good job for us. Trouble is thats all it appeared to be...a job. Know what I mean. I honestly don't think he would get in our starting line up this year, and yet I was so worried when he wanted away. Just shows how far weve come...

    How do you pronounce Amex?

Got to be Amex as in Ham. Never heard the American railways refered to as Aimtrack.

    Ethos of the Albion team.

I don't know what the magic formula is, it must be something that Gus inspires, but the ethos of the players is absolutely fantastic. It doesn't matter whether they have been with us for a day (ie Ryan Hartley last night) or years, they just seem to be prepared to die for that Albion shirt...

Top ten Albion results of all time

If your first game was 1965, thats about the same as me. I have been trying to recall as many of the team as I can but am really struggling. Any help would be appreciated. Brian Powney in goal. Roy Jennings Centre half and captain. Norman Gall Left half. Turner? Right half. Wally Gould...

Top ten Albion results of all time

Help with a memory please I seem to recall a cup match against Burnley (then a real top side with Ray Pointer and others) that ended 3-3. Probably about '63/'64. Also a home defeat by Bolton sticks in my mind, obviously not for the result but for a certain Peter Ward. We hadn't had a sniff all...
