[Albion] Your Most Enjoyable Promotion Season

I've follow BHA since 1969 so my fav.3 are: 1971/72-you had to have been in the North Stand to understand! 1978/79-a season of goals and great football. The joy of Newcastle away, what support...

[Albion] What is the most bizarre/memorable Albion game(s) you have attended ?

Brighton 1 Rochdale 1, that night game we got promoted. To be in the north stand, crushed, swaying.surging up and down the terrace and the noise deafing. If you were there you will remember it.

    [Misc] Tree surgery advice required!

Just a slight warning, I've a large oak tree at the bottom of our garden which a few years ago I had cut back at no small cost. In 5 years it grew back to it's previous size, the cut back seems to spur the growth of the tree. They do grow back quick.

[Albion] KING KAYAL M'LORD - Anybody Know The Latest State Of Play?

If you want to see what he could bring to the team, if fit, have a good look at our results when he played last season and who he played with in m/f.

[Albion] When did you sense the wheels could be coming off?

I started to lose faith in GP's team selection when he put Stephens back in the team after being injured. We've had 3 seasons of the Stephens and Propper m/f and it still doesn't work.

[Albion] Who is worst Stephens or Webster ?

Firstly I've got to say I've never really seen what CH or GP have seen in Stephens to keep picking him. When he's been out of the side others have stepped in and performed well then lost the shirt back to him, he's always 1 rash tackle from a booking. Sat. people are saying that he had no...

[Albion] Knockaert joins Fulham on initial one-year loan

I can't believe some of the posts on this thread, sell the best winger in the squad (I'm not counting the new guy yet), he's not good enough, don't tackle back, can't be trusted. Well I think some people need to see some of the few highlights from a very poor last season and see how many times AK...

    [Albion] Knockaert

It's time people stopped having a go at AK, yes it was reckless but did it really cost us the game, a game in which we already looked clueless once they scored. People have short memories, I can't recall such a meltdown in the season when we failed to go up when 2 current 1st teamers got...

    [Albion] Wembley a Disappointment

That middle tier of seats at Wembley looks terrible. The 2 ends should just be banks of fans, but of course it's all about the money. If the Amex was double in size it would IMO be better, so not that impressed and Wembley already looks dated.

    [Albion] Hughton

I'm not going to say sack CH this season, but something has got to change. 8 points from 33 since the start of 2019 is very very poor when you look at who we've played. To turn up at nearly every PL game and play nearly the same tactics, home and away, will get you most likely nothing. After 2...

    [Albion] Glenn Murray

Some really good comments, but it comes back to the manager and we all know that he won't play a true 4-4-2. I don't class Gross as a striker and to play him and Murray together will still give us no pace upfront. The big problem is not so much Glen's lack of pace but the lack of pace in centre...

[Albion] Hughton has "gone for it" but has just been unlucky

They had a saying 'play well and you keep the shirt' that doesn't seem to apply with a number of Albion players.

[Albion] Hughton has "gone for it" but has just been unlucky

Unlucky, maybe, but have the Albion brought it on themselves by not getting a box to box player in over the last 2 seasons? Watch any highlights of a PL game, even our game v Burnley, and see how many players support the 1 or 2 forwards when the ball is around the box. Murray's lucky if he's got...

I'm as fed-up as everyone else so won't comment on yesterday, just read any of my last 5 posts.

[Albion] To those questioning our tactics

So the change of tactics that you talk about has got us what? 2 out of 12 points in the league. I still say the only change is Gross deeper and Propper allowed to push forward. The slower player is now playing further from Murray and Propper is in a more forward role. It is not 4-3-3. We are...

[Albion] To those questioning our tactics

For me there was no, significant tactical change in the middle of this season, what CH did was move Gross deeper in m/f and allow Propper to attack more, yet again a case of just changing the players round. The change in wingers was a forced change and to be frank Propper should have been in the...

[Albion] To those questioning our tactics

Some good points but an old saying springs to mind, Rome wasn't built in a day, but CH has had 1 and a half seasons to sort out most of those problems and we still see the same tactics used. Players have been added to the squad at a cost but the tactics and the performances home and away have...

    [Albion] Hughton owned by Puel

Got to agree with most of this. The real question is if we keep seeing this, is it CH can't motivate the players, are the players fed up with the tactics or is it the players are just not good enough to change tactics during the game? It seems as if they're always waiting for the other team to...

    [Albion] Boos at full-time whistle

This just about sums it up for me,every home game this season is like groundhog day. Everyone around me in WSU are getting uptight about the tactics, we're even betting on when CH will make his 1st sub,69.70 or 71min. You simply can't defend the tactics being used at home,we're riding our luck...
