So that's alright then, I don't have two accounts.
I have three.
But then if the rules were being applied, there wouldn't be many of us left on here and we'd all need multiple accounts to make the board look popular.
If you've forgotten, these are the rules as agreed to by everyone when...
1. Plenty worse? Go on then, point them out.
2. The post being moved only showed that they could move it when a complaint was made.
3. Quite.
4. I think it is you that needs to look up 'rhetorical'. How can a question that asks for clarification be rhetorical? And if you are so bent up by the...
Actually I was only asking for a return to how this forum always used to be. And which is still widely understood, if the use of the letters NSFW is anything to go by.
1) Yes, I work in an environment where such a thread title could ultimately cost me my job if left on the screen.
2) Your point that the thread has now been removed surely proves that my OP was valid.
3) I think Bozza and I understood each other a while ago. Now I am just responding to posts...
I wouldn't expect mods to deal with CONTENT that hasn't been reported. I rarely report posts, I just ignore them or tell them what I think. But titles can be a real problem. It used to be that you could open the Big Board any time to see if we'd signed a new player etc because people kept the...
If you've said that earlier then I missed it amongst all the rest and I apologise. That is exactly what I assumed was the intention for NSC (it used to be the case), and I agree with you 100%. I felt, though, that this wasn't actually happening, and yesterday's thread seemed to prove the point...
So what you are saying is that we have a forum that is only moderated when people complain? If that's the case, then fair enough. My mistake, I assumed that the mods would actually moderate instead of just deleting on request.
If you would like someone who is proactive instead of reactive, I'd...
I wouldn't have thought that was a difficult question for you to find an answer to. It is rather obvious what people would have said if I had, which is something I learned long ago.
I think you have missed the point entirely. If this forum is moderated AT ALL then I think it is fair to expect that such blatantly obvious titles would be acted upon sometime in the first five or six hours. Just removing things people complain about isn't proper moderating.
I've no problem...
According to you maybe. But we aren't all you, believe it or not. That's what people don't get.
People used to show respect with their thread titles, but not any more.
Hence my suggestion that guidelines as to what "proper" means be available as a sticky. That way we all can see what is acceptable and what is not.
Why didn't I report it? To be honest, I can't understand why a thread title along the lines of "women who look as if their fannies smell bad" would...
That's a bit of a silly response. Proper enforcement by the mods would soon let people know what can and cannot be posted, especially if accompanied by a short ban. I think the problem is twofold: we have some posters who have no respect for others; and some people have no idea what is allowed...
Are you suggesting that mods volunteer as mods but aren't able to actually do the job? If that is the case then the problem is we have the wrong mods.
But I don't think it is. I think they just need a wake up call from time to time, and that is what I have done.
Well thank you for now removing the thread - and my complaint wasn't aimed at you specifically, but the modship in general. Perhaps better guidelines need to be issued to the mods if it takes five or six hours for action to be taken on something so blatant. And I only say that because I know...
