i don't think the pitch will be the problem, crowd safety and perhaps the railways will be the issue. with that said, st andrews isn't a public transport-only destination (in the way that the amex is) so i'm not sure if that would count for too much.
frozen pitch shouldn't happen, brum were premier league recently-ish so they will have undersoil heating. regarding trains; well anything could go wrong with them at anytime, and the last time i travelled in that really bad snow a couple of years back and i was delayed maybe 30 mins on a journey...
on a positive note, the metoffice forecast for birmingham looks a bit more positive.
so it'll be cold and windy, maybe slippery, in brum but the game should hopefully still go ahead.
any chance of this being snowed off? first away of the season, i'm rather looking forward to it but i won't be able to do it if it gets re-arranged to a midweek.
manchester united will be first pick. nothing sticks out as tie-of-the-round so itv will simply pick the side with the most armchair fans which is obviously united by a long way.
we aren't a shit league one side playing inside an athletics track any more. ticket price increases and kick offs moved for tv are part and parcel of being a successful side.
although i said earlier we can't just blame the ref, i really want a select group (premier league) official for the return. no way mike dean or mark halsey would stand for that shit.
we should have been more than 1-0 by then, very easy to point fingers at referees but if we were as clear as we should've been it wouldn't have mattered.
