Regarding Dunk, I think he falls into the one club player category and clubs are put off by this as they see them as hard to change so do we take a chance.
He would grace any team but like you say he is invaluable to us.
Done.
Yes, changing society, when I look back to football in the 70s (which I believe was the worst era for discrimination, etc ) it was toxic in the stadiums and everything was considered banter compared to today, we are heading in the right direction hopefully but it is a work in progress imo.
Agree, who cares if he did 200mtres or 20 miles he has used his public profile for a good cause and helped raise a lot of money, not only that but raised awareness of this disease which is the main objective.

Found this rather interesting.
Very good point re Solly and one we fans sometimes forget. Most players would seriously consider retiring after two cruciate operations, the fact he battled on with no fuss and just got on with it speaks volumes for his character and resilience not to mention his fitness.
Yes, the chippy was good and the owners were sorry to see us go.
I believe the dislike was something regarding the rent we paid when coming to the end of our tenancy...I think?
Why is this old chestnut rolled out time and again ,players can't win, if they roll about they are cheats and if they don't appeal and bang the ground and get in the officials face it's a defo fair tackle .Its the officials job not the player who should decide regardless off theatricals or not .
So someone has to be built like giant to defend against Haaland otherwise they are light weight.A fair shoulder to shoulder is next to each other while running, can you imagine Lamptey getting that treatment from him.It was a foul imo.Mind I would have an issue with Sanchez quarter way up the pitch.
I think Potter deserves a huge thank you as much as Tony Bloom and the Brighton hierarchy along with the fans deserve a huge thank you from Potter for giving him the chance to be in the top shop window and allowing him time to become the manager he could only dream about a number of years ago.
