I suspect it was not that it was "too difficult" but more that it was impossible to get permission/visas to film in the part of the world they dodged. Not everyone wants their beautiful vistas / creaking infrastructure showcased on TV across the world, and some countries are reluctant to let in...
I do this all the time with my Network Railcard - but be aware that the cutoff time is 10am, not 9am. Whether this is also true for the senior Railcard I do not know.
Given that the speed limit is a maximum, not a target, have you ever considered driving though a 20mph at 15mph? That way, when you accidentally and imperceptibly increase your speed by 5mph you are still within the limit.
What I don't understand about these searches is that if you're determined to take something in, whether it's a bottle top, a packet of sandwiches or a lifesize bronze replica of Wilfried Zaha, you just slip it into your pants and no-one's going to find it. Which makes the searching completely...
It felt like your post was dismissing the needs of 700,000 people on the basis that it's a small percentage of the population. I merely wanted to point out that a small percentage of a huge number can still be a huge number.
