[Football] The Non-League Football Thread- 2024/25 Edition

[/MEDIA] Was a great strike, but it should never have been a free kick. Keeper didn't cover himself in glory with his positioning, either. Thought Littlehampton had done enough to earn spot kicks with a really strong performance against a team, effectively, two tiers higher.

    [Albion] Littlehampton Fans

There are a handful of regulars who push the boundaries of what is acceptable, but it reaches a whole new level when the team gets a 'big day out'. Everyone comes out of the woodwork; it's probably expecting a bit much for for a disparate group of regular supporters to control the idiots amongst...

    [Albion] Littlehampton Fans

As one of the 'few' non-bellends, I can only sympathise with anyone who suffered abuse tonight. There's no denying that a large number of pondlife associate with my local club, which is a real shame as the fans and officials who I know are decent people. I didn't experience anything particularly...

Littlehampton have picked up 7 points from 9. If it weren't for Phoenix Sports hitting a similarly rich vein of form then LA would be pretty safe by now. Bit of a mixed bag in terms of the remaining fixtures, but hopefully they'll have just about enough. Might even drag Herne Bay into the scrap...

    [Albion] ******** Brighton U21s thread ********

I was part of a ‘crowd’ of 148 watching LIttlehampton get a crucial 1-0 win against Stormzy and Zaha backed AFC Croydon last night. From memory we took around 8,000 to Wembley for the Vase final, but it will be a tiny fraction of that if the game is a midweek Amex event. Horsham are obviously...

Just back from Culver Road where Littlehampton pulled off an astonishing upset by knocking out (2 division higher) Eastbourne Borough in the Sussex Senior Cup. I don't know enough about Borough to understand whether they had a full strength team out or not, but Littlehampton battled superbly...

Littlehampton 1-2 Beckenham for me today. Golds were actually quite unlucky to lose this one; there was very little in the game despite the huge points gap between the teams. Littlehampton have been all over the place this season, went on a terrible run over the Christmas and New Year period...

And there we have it, only a few minutes in and already the Chiefs get a bullsh1t call.

    [Other Sport] Superbowl LIX

I'll start watching out of a sense of duty, given I'm a big fan of the sport. I struggle to cheer for a team called the Eagles but absolutely despise the Chiefs, primarily because they keep knocking out my Bills. They've bluffed their way to the Superbowl with a number of single score wins and a...

He wasn't being used very effectively anyway, in my opinion. Joe Benn finally gave up after yet another injury and retired from football, so we're left with George Gaskin ploughing a lone furrow up front. And he's as like to commit ABH as he is to score a goal. Not all is well behind the scenes...

I think it's just the unrelenting financial uphill battle they face just to stay in the division. Most teams have a far higher budget with their own clubhouse and facilities to profit from, for a start. The aim was to consolidate this season and they made a couple of 'statement' signings in Alex...

Whoever draws Littlehampton will effectively have a bye. Absolutely terrible at the moment, can barely scrape a team together.

Went to bed before kick off because I knew that if I started to watch it then I'd probably doze off and wake up with a few minutes left. Instead, chose to watch it back 'as live' this morning - which proved to be a brilliant way to start my birthday! Sounded like an amazing atmosphere, homefield...

[Football] World Cup 2026 Qualifying Draw

I've come to the conclusion that allocations for 2026 will be more than enough to guarantee tickets for myself, so I'll not be busting a gut to accumulate more 'caps' during this next qualifying period. The home games are going to be really hard work, nothing there at all to get excited about...

[Football] World Cup 2026 Qualifying Draw

Yes, I am in the same boat... (Possible away allocations) Pot 2 - Serbia 53,000 (2,850) Pot 3 - Albania 22,500 (1,125) Pot 4 - Latvia 10,400 (520) Pot 5 - Andorra 3,300 (165, although we got 993 last time) I need an allocation of around 3,500 to be guaranteed a ticket, given the FA 70:30 rule.

I was staying in London last night so finally got the chance to visit The Fitzrovia Belle in Tottenham Court Road - home of the London Bills Backers. I’m at the game, more to tick off the ground than anything else. But I have to say, these kids are pretty decent - two superb goals. Great view of the free kick for the healthy Albion contingent present.

Went to Littlehampton 4-0 Phoenix Sports, notable only for the fact that returning club-legend Joe Benn scored his first goal after almost 2 years out with various injuries. Oh, and for the fact that Phoenix Sports are possibly the worst side I've ever seen playing at this level.
